    • Title: Dematerialised Manufacturing Systems: A new way to design, build, use and sell European Machine Tools.
    • Goal: This project aims at dematerialising machine tools and manufacturing systems that are designed and produced in Europe. European machine builders, the majority of them SMEs, should transform the current production of heavy, long-delivery-time and high-energy-consuming machines into tailored combinations of extremely light-weight, mechanically non-stiff, skeletal and low-environmental-impact machines that will be integrated with total life-cycle services based on innovative win-to-win business models. A specific project goal is to allow manufacturing system providers and end-users to co-design and manage Dematerialised Manufacturing Systems (DMSs) with the degree of flexibility customised to current and forecasted production requirements of end-users.
