GIMA

Automation and technology integration for the production of transmission gearboxes for agricultural machines

GIMA designs and manufactures Powershift transmissions for agricultural tractors with a complete transmission range from 54 HP to 612 HP.
GIMA is a 50/50 joint venture between two of the world's top five companies in the agricultural machinery sector: AGCO and CLAAS.
The Beauvais site, shared between AGCO and GIMA, is located 75 km north of Paris. Today, its transmissions equip more than 400,000 tractors worldwide, most of them under the Massey Ferguson and CLAAS brands.The collaboration between MCM and GIMA began in 2002 and has resulted in the constant and cooperative implementation of improvements and technological updates, which make GIMA workshop a state-of-the-art model of production system. Today the plant as a whole is sized to achieve an annual production of over 28,000 transmission gearboxes.
